♣ Tuesday weigh-in: 215.2 ♣
It’s been a hell of a week. No, really. We were at the doctor’s office last Monday because both kids were sick, but no ear infections at that point. We did verify that BeBop is allergic to the last antibiotic he was on, which made for a fun time. Took BeBop back on Wednesday: ear infection. Had to take BamBam back on Saturday after a terrible Friday night with him: double ear infection for him. Spent most of Sunday night sitting up with BamBam, meaning I only got about 2 1/2 hours sleep before getting up at five for my visit with the personal trainer at six. I stumbled in to the doctor’s office later that morning to have the receptionist say, “Didn’t I just see you on Saturday?” Why yes, you did. I had the doctor check BeBop’s ears while he was at it because he was up early and grumpy that morning. Guess what? Neither of their medications was working. Argh. They are both on new antibiotics and seem to be doing better now. For the moment, anyway, although BamBam started getting grumpy again this morning, but I don’t really want to think about that. He slept through the night last night, which meant I got to sleep through it, too. Since I went to bed at 9pm, I got some good rest and feel pretty good today.
They are both now officially (from the pediatrician) go for ear tubes. Talked to the ENT’s office staff trying to get BamBam in for an appointment (BeBops was already scheduled). No dice, but I will bring him to BeBop’s appointment and try to get the doc to look at his ears, too. At least then I can schedule both of their surgeries.
Even with all that, I still lost five pounds this week. That’s pretty cool.
The boys are supposed to be napping. Well, BamBam naps. BeBop usually just plays in his room. He’s the reason I have to stop writing and post this now, actually, because I have to go find out what the drilling sound coming from his room is. Wish me luck.
Thanks for the support!
Precious post and CONGRATULATIONS with your weight loss! YOU ROCK MY DEAREST ONE..
Hope you are having a great day with the boys and spring break..no break for parents!
Love you and will talk soon.
Oh men, I’m so sorry. I don’t know how you are doing it.
Wow, good on you. The digits on the scale are plummeting in the right direction! Sounds like it’s been … exciting(?) taking care of yourself like this while juggling the lads (Sparky included), but we are impressed by your fortitude and your progress.
I’ve started running again and should be ready to join you on a 5K in about another 10 months. Y’know, I don’t want to rush anything …
